School district hopes $30K iPad purchase will improve teacher performance – An eastern Idaho school district has purchased iPads to improve teacher performance. Administrators will be able to spend more time in classrooms evaluating teachers and can enter observations into an online form on the spot, rather than having to write things out more than once. Teachers will also be able to get feedback faster.
Barnes & Noble Aims E-Books at Kids – Barnes and Noble is launching a digital collection of more than 12,000 books under the name Nook Kids. They will include picture books, novels and a selection of enhanced editions of classics.
Kids want iPhones and iPads rather than toys for Christmas – Four in ten children are requesting an Apple product this holiday season. The iPhone 4, iPod touch and iPad were the three most wanted gifts among children aged 5 to 16.
