Transition: The Magic Continues – VISIONS XVI
Today and tomorrow, regional educators and administrators involved in career development and special needs education will gather at the Tampa Airport Marriot for Florida’s 16th annual conference on Career Development and Transition for Special Needs Students and Adults.
Tracks will include sessions on increasing graduation rates, decreasing drop out rates, prevention strategies, curriculum, transition planning and employability skills for persons with special needs. The conference is sponsored by Florida Division on Career Development and Transition (FLDCDT) and Florida Special Needs Association (FSNA)
According to organizers, the conference was established to “promote the career development of individuals with exceptionalities in order to bring about effective programs of career awareness, career exploration, career preparation, and transition from school to work and community living for these individuals from early childhood through adulthood and to encourage and promote professional growth, research, legislation, and dissemination of information among Florida individuals and organizations concerned with and involved in career development and transition of people with exceptionalities.”
