Bullying is a terrible act to witness. Whether it happens to a child, a teenager or an adult, there is no excuse for someone to be a victim of this crime. Although it can happen to anyone and it can happen almost anywhere, most of the time bullying happens in schools all over the world.
In recent times, bullying has gotten so bad that kids and teenagers who are victims have taken their own lives as a result of the torture. According to the National Education Association, it is estimated that 160,000 children miss school every day due to fear of attack or intimidation by other students.
No good comes from bullying and that is why there are so many organizations that specifically work towards raising awareness of the harmful effects and working together to put a stop to it once and for all. Almost all of the states in this country have some type of rules and requirements of schools to educate their students on the effects and consequences of bullying. Many of these states also have legislation that specifically target bullying.
