At the end of a year, you may be looking for a way to sum it up in more ways than one. With review units and tests that recap what children have learned, there are some helpful and interesting resources that can help add a little bit of entertainment to this.
Getty Images, a leading creator and distributor of still imagery, footage, music and other premium content, has made a video that can help recap. Besides the hundreds and thousands of great images they have available, they also have tons of videos and authentic footage from our history’s past. Using just some of their award-winning and archival imagery and video, they offer “100 Years in Footage in 100 Seconds”.
This interesting video is a quick look at a very extensive chain of events in history. It is a great way for kids to not only review some of the greatest events that happened in history, but to see such a range of all of these events.
I think videos like this are interesting and will keep kids engaged while learning about history. Kids often like to see snapshot glances at different events or historical moments. The video does a good job of breaking up these events, and also building on former events to show the ones that are forthcoming.
You can show this video to your kids and let them reflect on all the information that they learned this year!
